Baalot runs elections for universities, student unions, associations and shareholder AGMs in Nigeria, with every ballot sealed and every count replayable.
Why Baalot exists
Baalot started with a student election that fell apart: ballots counted by hand, results contested, and no record anyone could check afterwards.
The question it left was simple. Why do universities, unions and associations in Nigeria still run elections on paper and spreadsheets when members already carry phones?
So we built an election platform for those bodies. Admins set up the election in a browser. Members vote in the app. Each ballot is sealed before it is stored and added to an audit chain that anyone can replay.

What we will not claim
Every claim on this site rests on a written record of what the app actually does, with its limits. These are the ones people ask about most.
- The audit chain is tamper-evident, not tamper-proof. Someone holding Baalot's server key could rewrite it.C4
- Results are the server's count and are marked Provisional. They are not a certification by your institution.C33
- Identity checks with NIN or BVN are optional and part of Pro. They are not a condition of voting.C10
- Baalot is in early access. We bring institutions on one at a time and do not publish turnout or vote totals we cannot show.

Adole built Baalot from a single conviction: African institutions deserve election infrastructure that cannot be corrupted. Baalot is a solo project: Adole designs, builds and runs it, from the app and the admin console to institutional partnerships.
